Emirates FA Cup Format Updated for 2024-25
The Football Association (FA) and Premier League have agreed on changes to the format of the Emirates FA Cup for the 2024-25 season. These changes include:
Revised Round Dates
The round dates for the 2024-25 Emirates FA Cup are as follows:
- Third Round Proper - Saturday 6 January 2024
- Fourth Round Proper - Saturday 27 January 2024
- Fifth Round Proper - Wednesday 28 February 2024
- Quarter-final - Saturday 16 March 2024
- Semi-final - Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April 2024
- Final - Saturday 10 August 2024
Removal of Mid-Season Break
The mid-season break that was previously scheduled for February has been removed from the 2024-25 season.
Changes to Semi-Final Replays
Semi-final replays will be eliminated, meaning that games that are level after 90 minutes will go directly to extra time and, if necessary, penalties.
